Hey hey hey
I signed up a while ago, but finally got around to reviewing. I'll be posting some songs soon.
I like virtually all genres of music. Classic rock, reggae, underground hip hop, electronic, indie, folk and the list goes on.
Well, the site looks great. A lot of incredibly talented musicians on here. Hopefully I'll see you around.

Enigma
More ambient goodness.
Recorded in the 90 degree San Diego heat. Used my keyboard and FL 7. Also did the drum loops on my friend's drum set.
My personal favorite. I think it turned out pretty good.

Any self-taught musicians here?
I taught myself how to play the guitar when I was 11. It was pretty hard in the beginning, but within a couple of weeks, I really started loving it. My first guitar was a cheap acoustic, which sounded really good.
After about 3 years, I hit a dead end and couldn't advance any more without any specific help, so I started taking lessons at a local music shop. I improved a lot because of it.
I'm also self-taught at the piano/keyboard (I learned Light My Fire when I was 13) and the bass.
What about you guys?

Captain and the Behemoth
Another trancish ambient song.
A lot of complicated parts and layers. Took me a while to get everything to flow together, etc.
Please rate!

I want to build my own "studio" in my room
What are some things to get me started?
I know I need a microphone (recommend me one?) and maybe a drum machine, but what else do I need to have an effective studio?
I have a laptop with a lot of music software on it (FL Studio 7, ACID Pro, Audacity, LAME), my instruments of course (Epiphone Les Paul custom, Taylor acoustic, Yamaha keyboard) and my Fender amp.
Any help would be appreciated.

The Sun and the Moon
And now for something completely different...
A very chill track. I don't even know how to classify this one.
Anyway, I used FL Studio 7 for the pads and effects, my acoustic and electric guitars, and my keyboard. A shout out to my friend Ray for helping me with it.
Hope you like it!
